Morningstar Mill, nestled in the scenic landscape of St. Catharines, Ontario, stands as a testament to 19th-century ingenuity. Built in 1872 by Robert Chappel and acquired by Wilson Morningstar in 1883, this historic gristmill used Decew Falls to produce flour and animal feed, essential for the local community. Despite a devastating fire in 1892, the mill was rebuilt and modernized, continuing operations until 1933. Today, Morningstar Mill stands as a beautifully restored heritage site, thanks to the commitment of dedicated volunteers.
