Morningstar Mill is a picturesque heritage site located in St. Catharines, Ontario. This rural industrial site features a working grist mill that was rebuilt in 1872. This water-powered mill retains all of its original equipment, making it one of the rare mills in Ontario that still utilizes water power to operate its millstones. The site also includes the Morningstar family’s home, which has been restored to its 1932 appearance. Nestled amidst picturesque trails and the stunning Decew Falls, Morningstar Mill provides a serene retreat and a captivating journey into history for both visitors and history enthusiasts.
This image, taken with an infrared-converted camera, features a long exposure technique that beautifully captures the waterfall in a silky smooth manner. It was then converted to black and white.
