On April 15, 2013, the Boston Marathon was tragically marred by two homemade bombs that detonated near the finish line, resulting in the loss of three lives and injuring more than 260 individuals.
The fence of ribbons erected in remembrance of the Boston Marathon bombing is a poignant and heartfelt tribute. The fence is decorated with many colourful ribbons, each symbolizing hope, love, and solidarity from people worldwide. The ribbons sway in the wind, creating a visual tribute to the victims and survivors of the tragedy, symbolizing the community’s resilience and unity.
This image was taken in late 2013 on our return from Martha’s Vineyard … a very somber and humbling experience.
