Description

This photograph captures the serene beauty of the pier at 50 Point conservation area in Stoney Creek along the shore of Lake Ontario. The old, partially submerged wooden pier has since been erased from the landscape, as the ice and snow from a winter a couple years ago were simply to much for it to withstand.
This composition contrasts the decaying pier with the beautiful lake, highlighting history and the passage of time.
What exactly the pier was used for, or when, remains a mystery!
