This image of a Great Gray Owl was captured in 2022 in Cochrane, Alberta (Canada). This scene beautifully captures the owl in its natural habitat, emphasizing its remarkable camouflage skills and the serene elegance of the surrounding forest. During our vacation, a friend reached out with exciting news about the whereabouts of a Great Gray Owl. After a three-hour drive to the vicinity and an hour of diligent searching, we successfully located the owl! We observed from a distance as it hunted, captured a few images, and then made our way back to our hotel in Canmore.
