Lake Minnewanka is a stunning glacial lake located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. It stretches 21 kilometers (13 miles) long and reaches depths of up to 142 meters (466 feet). Revered by the Stoney Nakoda First Nations as Minn-waki, meaning “Lake of the Spirits,” this enchanting location boasts a profound history set against stunning mountain landscapes. Visitors can also enjoy a scenic cruise to take in the beauty of the lake and its surroundings.
This sunrise image was captured in 2018 on our first trip out west. The mountains and scenery are absolutely breathtaking!
