The Burgoyne Bridge in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The original bridge was built in 1915 by the Dominion Steel and Coal Corporation. In 2010, construction of a new Burgoyne Bridge was recommended by the Niagara Region. However, the project was not completed until 2016 due to the estimated cost.
The bridge stands as a magnificent and striking feat of architecture. Yet, it bears a more sombre tone, having transformed into a place where those in despair come seeking a final escape from their struggles. In response to this troubling reality, the bridge has been equipped with tall vertical bars, designed to create a formidable barrier that makes it challenging for individuals to navigate.
