Constructed in 1917, the “Point Abino Light Tower & Foghorn” replaced a tragic light ship lost along with its entire crew during the devastating Great Lakes storm of 1913. This iconic lighthouse was meticulously designed to steer vessels safely to and from the harbor of Buffalo, NY, across the lake. Its beacon can be seen from up to 15 miles (24 km) away, guiding mariners across the water with unwavering reliability.
